It’s hard to believe that it’s already 2016. A New Year, a new resolution or two. It’s time to close out one year and prepare for the next.
I’m looking back over the last year and see that I’ve started a new chapter in my life. While I’m still working things out I know I’m going into the right direction.
My first resolution is to continue my blog. My blog is still in the works and I’m learning all kinds of things. I can’t wait to put them into action. I’m still having some technical issues, but see things coming together in the very near future.
Those following and reading, I hope you’ll stick with me as I put it together.
My New years resolution is to keep going and working my a- – off.

Yesterday is the last day of my challenge to post content in my blog for 30 days. I’m excited because I finished my challenge. I didn’t get to do each of the thirty days, but I was able to post many of the days in the challenge. About 80%. I wanted to do 30 posts, but when I look at what life has brought I’m proud of how much I’ve done.
Now I look forward to posting blogs on a consistent basis with lots of great information. That said, I won’t be posting everyday, but will do post consistently. That will be one of my goals.

I am getting bills for medical costs that should have been covered by insurance. What does Health Insurance really cover? I can’t answer that. I’m looking at my claims for the year and find out I’ve paid out way more than my deductible.
When I called the insurance company they told me I have co-insurance after I pay my deductible. I said I don’t have any other insurance. Well shame on me. Co-insurance is actually what I pay after my deductible is met. I should have known that.
Here’s what I’m finding out and hope this will help you figure out what you are really getting.
Co-Pays for Primary Care Physician
Co-Pays for Specialists
Then you have the deductible which I’m trying to figure out if the Co-Pays are part of the deductibles.
Then there’s co-insurance. That means that after you have paid your deductible you pay a % for co-insurance which continues after I’ve met my deductible. But wait, I have a maximum out of pocket of $3000. But that doesn’t count because of the family out of pocket.
If that makes any sense to you, please explain it to me. I’ve asked for an audit because there is no way I can figure this out. It’s like taxes, someone decides on a law regarding taxes and it doesn’t have to make sense, you just have to know that’s what you need to do.
I think I’m going to get catastrophic insurance because this just doesn’t make any sense at all. Why do we pay for health insurance if we don’t get any real benefit from it.
I will be researching and suggest you do the same thing. Because I’m at $18,000 out of pocket between insurance, co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance. And did I mention there’s out of network as well?
